NOTE: Currently only Cats and Dogs can be relocated by air.
1. Import - Bringing Pets to Rwanda
Travelling with You:
1. Import Agent
a. process import permit
2. Pet's Vaccine card
3. Pet's Health Certificate
4. IATA Certified Crate
5. Airplane ticket
Travelling in Cargo:
1. Import Agent
a. process import permit
b. clearance at the airport
2. Export Agent
a. process export permit
b. transport pet from pet's location to airport
c. process airway bill ( airplane ticket)
2. Pet's Vaccine card
3. Pet's Health Certificate (issued within 10 days of travel)
4. IATA Certified Crate
2. Export - Taking Pets to an other country
Travelling with You:
1. Export Agent

3. Pet's Health Certificate (from your local vet) or Pet Passport
4. IATA Certified Crate
5. Airplane ticket

Travelling in Cargo:

At pet friendly airlines, your pet can travel with you in the cabin or on hold. These airlines travelling to and from Kigali are:
